A Poem Love will always be, A poem, for me, And trees encircling the heart In whispers Keeping secrets. We were inundated by love In our childhood, As we penned our letters on papers Then had a deep sleep; We’ve been searching for our fears, Disclosing to those we know, Divulging to those we don’t know, For we really feared the night If we doze, possibly it will encounter us. As love is a current That we’ll inevitably approach To be drifted away; Possibly the ship of lovers will one day come, To hear my voice Calling from afar: “Ah!!” I hanged my griefs as a cresset Over my eyes; Will you, I wonder, my cresset descry? Tell me, could people see, My griefs if they flee! Passions rage within me, Whenever yearnings quake my heart! They have claimed far and wide In our city that I am the first lover In this world and the last thereof! Here I am, calling out the endeared ones! Answer me! Once again I feel the ascension of the soul! I see myself at crossroads Between my heart and me! Who, I wonder, can help me? Your hands touch me, taking me therewith! Embrace me
