• Love in the Bamboo Forest

You arranged a prompt tryst for me Among the bamboo trunks To dance with me Little by little Then disappear Behind the trees After covering my eyes With your white shirt You leave me thus To search for you Deceived by the softness of stems Floundered on the grass Staggered by your hilarious laughs Unexpectedly you kiss me However, I know not Whether I actually felt your lips Or was embraced by a flock of doves. O how sweet it is To run in the bamboo forest Where the birds fill the ravines With their sweet melodies And crystal-clear water serenely flows There, in the bamboo forest Butterflies flutter With their multi-hued wings And gazelles gleefully and freely bound
